Parliament fiddles with conventions

In an admittedly difficult comparison, I would be prepared to nominate Andrew Jones as the silliest political representative from South Australia ever to grace the House of Representatives in my lifetime, at least until the arrivals in Parliament of Alexander Downer and Christopher Pyne.
