The limited edition make-up collection for Estee Lauder will land in Australia on October 1 and as a sneak peek she filmed her morning beauty routine to preview her product. The result was very Kate Middleton – think perfectly rimmed eyes and nude lips.

"I'm just going to spice up my eye," she said, grinning at her well timed pun.

In the short film, she uses Blonde Cumin eye shadow palette all over the lid and Black Nutmeg eye shadow along her lashes before coating her inner lash line with with Grey Amber eyeliner.

Modern Mercury highlighter, "to give a nice, healthy glow", and an illuminating cream called Morning Aura – a cream that "hydrates, moisturisers and tightens" – are sure to be best sellers for luxury collection.

The signature look, according to Beckham, is the "London look", which comes perilously close to the tag line used by Rimmel. A supermarket cosmetics brand owned by Lauder's rival, Coty.

"It's a smoky, dark, sexy eye," she said.

Speaking to WWD about the range she said: "I was very specific about what I wanted. It was about the must-have items that I felt everybody should have in their make-up bag, things that are really quite difficult to find because I know, I've searched.

"This has been something that I've wanted to do for so many years."
