It's not the first time she has been seen stripped bare by the public.

In 2007, she was allegedly snapped in the shower by AFL star Brendan Fevola. Then, in 2012, the paparazzi took pictures of her in her bedroom. Oh, and she also put up pictures of herself on her Instagram account less than a month ago. Now, the 26-year-old model, together with her well-publicised chest, stars in the September issue of the high-fashion magazine.

In the upcoming spread, Bingle, who was discovered and described by former federal tourism minister Fran Bailey as possessing “the looks and the body to be another Elle Macpherson. But not the brains”, wears a brunette wig in a “super kitsch, colourful, pumped up and tongue-in-cheek” editorial according to editor Monica Nakata.

Shot by emerging photographer Byron Spencer and styled by Tiana Wallace, Bingle, who channels an “Ab Fab diva”, was approached for her willingness to push fashion boundaries.

“It was an amazing challenge to shoot her and really change the way models and personalities like her are represented elsewhere. We like to push the boundaries,” Ms Nakata told Fairfax Media.

“We have always taken a really creative and unique approach to fashion and celebrities. How we’ve mixed it up with Lara is exactly how we sought to do the same thing with our cover star Iggy Azelea and singer Frank Ocean who also posed for us.”

It isn’t the first time Bingle has appeared in the independent title or nude for fashion’s sake.

She graced the cover in 2012. The accompanying spread was a slick, sexed up black and white shoot by Georges Antoni, which was a combination of flesh and expensive fashion.

Her shoot for GQ Australia’s August 2012 issue, which involved her going topless, was featured on her TV show Being Lara Bingle.
