A 15-year-old Queanbeyan boy is in hospital after a serious assault by another teenager left him with multiple fractures to his jaw.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old male over the assault which occurred at about 4.30pm on Friday, at Rusten Street in Karabar.
Police said the alleged offender had got into a heated argument with the other teenager over a driving incident, before the young victim was struck once to the jaw.
The 15-year-old boy will undergo surgery to repair multpile fractures to his jaw.
The alleged offender has been charged with causing grevious bodily harm with intent and will appear in the Queanbeyan Local Court on December 22.
