1. GREAT EASTER EGG TRAIL
Hop along to the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House for Easter Sunday. The free activities kick off at 9am with entertainment for the whole family. Follow the trail find the clues, crack the code and collect a yummy reward. There's also picnic games, face painting, plus a barbecue and coffee are available. 9am-12pm. 2. VERSAILLES: TREASURES FROM THE PALACE
For those of you who keep saying 'I'll get there eventually', this weekend is your last chance to see the National Gallery of Australia's blockbuster exhibition Versailles: Treasures from the Palace and the only chance to see the life, culture and art of Versailles outside of France. The exhibition finishes on April 17. Open daily 10am-5pm. Tickets at nga.gov.au/Versailles/.
3. NATIONAL FOLK FESTIVAL
The annual festival is on at Exhibition Park from April 13-17. This year there's over 200 local, national and international acts including music, dance, spoken word, film, circus and traditional crafts, plus themed bars and food markets. Tickets at folkfestival.org.au.
4. LIVE FOOTY
The Raiders play host to the New Zealand Warriors at GIO Stadium on Saturday evening. Gates open 3pm, kick off at 5.30pm. Or if AFL is more your thing, the Giants play host to Port Adelaide at Manuka Oval on Saturday afternoon. Gates open 3.15pm, kick off at 4.35pm. Tickets at ticketek.com.au or at the gate.
5. PYJAMA PARTY
Mooseheads is holding their annual pyjama party on Saturday night from 9pm. Dress for bed in your pyjamas, onesie, dressing gown or slippers. Those dressed in theme get free entry and the chance to win Peter Alexander gift vouchers. There's also fairy floss and easter eggs, and photos with the Easter Bunny. 18+.
6. EASTER EGG HUNTING IN THE FOREST
Head out of town for the Corin Forest Easter Egg Hunt. There's hunts on for the whole family at 11am every day over the long weekend. Head to facebook.com/corinforestresort/ to RSVP your attendance.
7. RICHARD 3
Kate Mulvany plays the scheming title character who will stop at nothing to gain the throne of England in Bell Shakespeare's production of Richard 3, which is on at Canberra Theatre Centre. Its two final shows are on Saturday at 2pm and 7.30pm. Tickets at canberratheatrecentre.com.au.
