The University of Canberra presented a Celebration of Colin Thiele, the esteemed children's author, recently. Speakers included Walter McVitty, on 'Publishing Colin Thiele', Janne Minge, Colin's daughter, on 'Memories of a Gentle Man' and Margaret Carmody, on 'Birds like Mr Percival never die'. John Sheedy, director of the Canberra Theatre stage production of 'Storm Boy', also spoke on 'Storm Boy' in a New Medium'.
