On Friday, ACT Policing searched a private rental property located on Mobourne Street after information provided by the public. Police said it was an established grow house, identical to the previous grow houses discovered in recent weeks.
Operation Armscote began on June 12 after a raid on a property in Kaleen. The operation has since seen ACT Policing seize 1226 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of more than $7 million.
The latest grow house in Bonner marks the 11th to be discovered in the nation's capital through the latest operation.
Police say recent raids uncovered the most extensive grow house network in the capital's history and disrupted a highly sophisticated drug syndicate that had operated in the ACT for up to six months.
Landlords have been warned they could have unwittingly fallen victim to an organised drug ring as police work to uncover more clandestine cannabis grow houses they believe have been set up in rental properties across the ACT.
Police believed more houses in the ACT were being used to grow illegal cannabis crops and encouraged any property owners who suspected they had been targeted to come forward.
