A ground floor apartment on Tank Street in Phillip caught alight on Tuesday morning, leaving several other units in the three-storey complex smoke damaged.

ACT Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire quickly on arrival and the fire did not reach adjoining units.
No one was home at the time and no injuries have been reported, according to emergency services.
Firefighters were conducting ventilation operations at 8.20am and emergency services said investigations in the cause of the fire will begin soon.
Three pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and a commander were sent to the fire.
