An ACT parliamentary inquiry is set to look into the implementation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, including its failure to properly support people with psychosocial disabilities.

Chair of the Legislative Assembly committee Chris Steel said the committee wanted to hear from people with a range of experiences with the NDIS now it was fully operational in the territory.
Mr Steel also said they wanted to hear from service providers about any ACT specific issues from the rollout.
"The committee is aware that there has been a range of experiences for people transitioning to the NDIS in the ACT, and we would like to hear from people who have used accessed the NDIS for themselves, or as an advocate, and to understand their current experiences," Mr Steel said.
Mr Steel said the inquiry would examine the relationship between the ACT government and the National Disability Insurance Agency.
A territory government submission to a federal parliamentary inquiry into the scheme in October revealed the ACT had struggled to absorb the ballooning costs of the rollout.
The ACT provides almost 60 per cent of the scheme's funding for local participants, but said it was regularly picking up extra costs even after the full scheme came into effect last year.
ACT Disability Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said in September the NDIS transition had not "been easy - or even possible - for some people with a psychosocial disability".

Those who would like to give evidence at future hearings should include this in their submission.
