The design is a tightly-held secret but Sunday will see the release at the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra of a Bananas in Pyjamas coin. I know. Bananarific!.

B1 and B2 will also be in attendance to meet and greet their fans at the Mint, with photos with the Bananas to be staged at 10am, 10.40am, 11.20am, 12 and 12.40pm.
Tickets to get a photo with B1 and B2 will be handed out on a first come, first served basis. There will be 30 family groups allowed per 20 minute session because B1 and B2 "require frequent breaks". Phew. It's not easy being a superstar. Wonder if Justin Bieber has the same stipulations.
The day itself runs from 10am to 1pm. There will also be face-painting, colouring-in and a jumping castle.
The two-coin set "featuring the Bananas and their friends" is being released to celebrate 25 years of the ABC children's classic. The coins are collectors items so won't be in general circulation. So you won't be able to pay for your bananas with a Bananas coin, in other words.
The coins are expected to be colourful, like the Play School coins released last year.
