A chance of rain has not dampened the spirits of Canberra's movie fans who will head to the shores of Lake Burley Griffin on Sunday for another season of outdoor movies.

Ben & Jerry's will kick off their latest ACT offering of open-air cinema this weekend with the new Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay Part 1.
Marketing co-ordinator Matthew Watson said organisers had started the season about a month earlier this year when the weather was drier and warmer.
"Only three of 19 sessions were cancelled [last year] due to rain. We were able to let all our customers either re-use their tickets for another session... and refunded those who couldn't," he said.
Mr Watson said there would be five weeks of sessions in 2015 compared with the previous year, boosting the number of movies from 19 to 31.
Weatherzone meteorologist James Casey said cinemagoers heading down to the lake could be in luck on Sunday with only about 5 millimetres of rain forecast for the afternoon.
He said it had been a wet January so far in the ACT, as almost the entire month's rainfall drenching the city in the past weekend.
"At the moment we're above average with 85mm, well over the monthly average of 57mm," he said.
"It's looking like a little bit of rain around the 23rd and 24th January, and then maybe another chance right towards the end of the month, but pretty much dry the rest of the time."
Mr Casey said Canberrans could look forward to a wet and warm start to the week, with temperatures staying close to 30 degrees, as a high pressure ridge kept the weather reasonably stable.
Mr Watson said the forecast so far was looking good for the coming weeks.
"Plenty of sun, which is great," he said. "Unfortunately the weather is the one thing we can't control and occasionally it may take a turn for the worse.
"If it does, we'll let our ticketholders know as soon as we can on the day so that they can choose what to do with their tickets."
