A man has allegedly coaxed a blind pensioner in Chifley to hand over her bankcard and PIN number to pay for plumbing services.

Police said that after obtaining the card from the 86-year-old about midday on Wednesday, the man left the area to withdraw cash from an ATM before the bank card was cancelled.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 30s to 40s, around 175cm tall, with a solid build, dark hair that is balding and clean shaven. He was wearing a high visibility uniform at the time.
Police are urging anyone who can identify this man or has any information that may assist investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
