The body of a 59-year-old Canberra man who died after falling off a cliff bushwalking in Tasmania, has now been recovered, police say.

The man from Calwell in Canberra's south, was walking back from climbing Tasmania's highest mountain, Mount Ossa, on Sunday afternoon with his 20-year-old son when he fell about 10 metres.
He suffered critical head injuries and was unable to be revived, despite his son's attempts at CPR.
Police were called at about 4.30pm by satellite phone by a commercially-guided group who heard the son's cry for help.
Emergency services and police started a rescue operation, eventually sending a team of eight out on foot to the scene on Monday.
Bad weather frustrated the recovery on Sunday night and Monday, and rescue teams were only able to winch the man's body off the cliff at about 10am on Tuesday morning.
The body will now be transferred via helicopter to Hobart where it will be met by an ambulance and a coronial investigation will commence.
The man's son returned to Canberra on Monday to be with his family.
