The Kambah man who introduced himself to TV-watching Australians as ''G-Luv'' on the SBS reality TV program Bollywood Star confirmed his search for a ''Mrs Luv''.
While far from being famous, he now has a slightly higher profile to assist him after the show averaged 254,000 viewers an episode nationally.
''Three or four people recognised me at Costco the other day,'' Koul said.
The final episode a week ago revealed Gold Coast student paramedic Teigan Lloyd-Evans as the winner of a Bollywood gig after she beat three other contestants in the final including Koul.
The 24-year-old Koul has been a Canberran since the age of three and regards the city as his homeland but plans to move to a larger Australian capital city.
''Canberra is probably not the ideal location to pursue my artistic passions - dancing, acting, modelling,'' he said. ''I need to capitalise on this opportunity.''
Unlike 700 other hopefuls, Koul survived auditions in Sydney in front of four judges boasting Bollywood experience.
Filmmaker Anupam Sharma, talent spotter Raj Suri and enchanting dance experts Dipti Patil and Ramona Lobo often appeared frustrated at the lack of talent and knowledge of Bollywood in the first episode.
They were eventually stoked with the 24 contestants they picked.
Koul travelled to India as the show was filmed late last year. A confidentiality agreement kept him from revealing his fortunes on the show for six months.
Koul, also an IT student at the University of Canberra, said he now had greater confidence.
''I want to stay and find work in Australia for three or four years and travel to India for a year to see if I can make it,'' he said.
