Bus stops across northern Tuggeranong will be upgraded to better accommodate Canberrans with limited mobility as part of a larger project to improve the accessibility of the city's bus system.

The ACT government will upgrade footpaths at 21 bus stops across Fadden and Wanniassa including three stops on Langdon Avenue, 14 stops on Bugden Avenue, and four stops on Partridge Street.
Minister for Roads and Parking Mick Gentleman said the bus stop upgrades were among 3000 across the ACT.
"This program of works will see seniors and other people with mobility restrictions benefit from upgrades to existing transport infrastructure," he said.
"To date, around 1950 bus stops have been made accessible, which accounts for about 67 per cent of all bus stops in the ACT.
"Priority is being given to bus stop near aged care facilities, hospitals and other areas with a high concentration of senior citizens or people with mobility restrictions."
Tactile ground surfacing for vision-impaired bus users and larger flat concrete waiting areas are also among the rollout of refurbishments.
The project will ensure Canberrans with limited mobility are not discriminated against and the ACT is compliant with the Australian Government's Disability Discrimination Act.
The ACT government has committed to full compliance by 2022 and has spent $6.5 million on bus stop upgrades since July 2012.
The current works will involve the temporary closure of some footpaths and nature strips.
