Canberra historian and curator of the exhibition, Dr David Headon, was there for the opening of the exhibition in Maughan Library, along with Australian High Commissioner to the UK, Alexander Downer.
Peace, love and world war: the Denmans, Empire and Australia, 1910-1917 also focuses on Lord Denman's wife Gertrude "Trudie" Denman and includes items such as book, films and photographs from the National Library of Australia, the National Museum of Australia and the National Film and Sound Archive.
The travelling exhibition will be there until September 25.
