The 23-year-old Conder man is "pretty happy with the whole package actually" and that's why he recently nominated for Australia's Most Ordinary Rig, a competition being run by swimwear brand Budgy Smugglers to uncover the nation's most ordinary male body.
Josh has beat hundreds of entrants to make it to the competition's top 10 and now needs Canberrans to vote for him via Facebook.
But before I go any further with this story, I can answer the question on the lips of Canberra's single women - is he available?
Yes ladies, he is. In fact, he's been longing to try out the open air cinema at the Botanic Gardens but can't find a nice lass to go with.
With a mullet to rival Billy Ray Cyrus, a Lion King tattoo on his chest and always sporting a pair of boots - whether they're work boots or cowboy boots - Josh is definitely a stand-out in the Australia's Most Ordinary Rig top 10.
"I wear my budgy smugglers a fair bit - at footy functions and B&S balls, they usually come out a little bit later on in the night," Josh, a mechanic at Jax Tyres in Mitchell, said.
"I'm famous for it.
"When it comes to my body, I'm happy. It is what it is.
"I wanted other people to know that you don't have to try and change yourself to feel better. If you're happy with who you are, then there's no point changing, and I'm pretty happy."
Josh plays on the wing for Uni-Norths Owls' fourth-grade team - "it's pretty funny, wingers are mostly tall and skinny" - and loves nothing more than heading up to the Brindabellas for a few nights of camping, with Garth Brooks playing in the background.
While he's on Tinder and a couple of other online dating sites, Josh prefers to "meet women in person" and can often be found at Mooseheads on a Saturday night, looking for love.
Josh attributes his body confidence and larrakin attitude to his late grandfather Norman, who was "a real inspiration".
"I get my sarcastic sense of humour from him too," he said.
When it comes to the perfect woman, Josh is looking for someone with a sense of humour and, importantly, "someone that loves my sense of humour".
He'd love to win the Budgy Smugglers competition "because the winner gets a massive billboard with them on it, and I reckon that'd be awesome" and for the major prize of a nine-day holiday for two to Thailand.
But unless he finds love between now and the award announcement on January 3, he might have to take mum Tara on the holiday.
