A memorial service will be held on Thursday in Canberra for young horsewoman Riharna Thomson who was fatally injured in a trackwork accident, passing away on March 3.

The memorial for the 22-year-old will be held at 11.30am on Thursday at the Gold Creek Chapel, 17 O'Hanlon Place, Nicholls.

The local racing community was rocked by her death and is expected to be out in force to honour, remember and farewell her.
