A bullet-riddled body pulled from the rubble after yesterday's firefight in northern Paris has been formally identified as terror cell ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud.
It brings to an end a year-long terror spree, France's Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said on Thursday.
- Police are treating the discovery of an unidentified body in Canberra's east as suspicious.

The ACT Brumbies are preparing for life after Stephen Moore after the Wallabies captain was linked to a move to Irish club Munster.
Meanwhile, the Brumbies' new athletic performance director Ben Serpell wants to use the Australian Institute of Sport's expertise to help return the Super Rugby title to Canberra.
- Canberra Cavalry outfielder Derrick Loveless put his "rough start" behind him to kick the home team's offence into gear and keep them on top of the Australian Baseball League ladder.

11.58am: The water is now back on after this morning's burst water main. Icon Water say "there may be some minor discolouration initially as the water re-enters the pipes – the Icon Water crews are currently flushing the mains to reduce the chances of this occurring."

10.50am: Authorities are still working on that burst water main in Reid, meanwhile there was a motorcyclist involved in that crash in Nicholls, but there were no major injuries and the area has now cleared.
9.47am: There's been a crash on the roundabout at Kelleway Avenue and Gungahlin Drive at Nicholls. Emergency crews are on scene.
9.32am: Icon Water crews are currently working to fix a burst water main in Ainslie Avenue in Reid (corner of Elimatta Street).
Parts of Ainslie Avenue has been closed and traffic management crews are now on site. The burst is on the city outbound side of Ainslie Avenue heading up towards Limestone Avenue. Commuters are being asked to avoid the area if they can.
7.52am: It appears smoking bus brakes outside Majura Daycare near the airport are behind the reports of a transport fire. Firies are on scene and they've closed the road as a precaution but it should be reopen soon.
7.42am: Looks like there's a transport fire near the airport, at the roundabout of Catalina Drive and Beaufighter Street. We don't have any other details yet, only that units are on route.

Summer is still a fortnight away but Canberra is forecast to reach a scorching 36 degrees today. The Emergency Services Agency is warning Canberrans to prepare for a high fire risk amid potentially damaging winds, while health and safety services are warning Canberrans of the risks of heat stress in light of the the hotter-than-average forecast.
