Just three working days until the weekend and for some of us - a well-earned break! We have now passed into the final week before Christmas (I hope that sentence doesn't make you panic).
I'm not sure if I'd be game to put the washing out today - while we're headed for another warm top of 20 degrees, there's a shower or two and a possible storm on the way, in the afternoon and evening. Let's have a look at what's making news today.
Top of the class: How your school fared in ACT ATAR rankings
Is it weird that I still get anxious around ATAR results time even though it's been so long since I went to high school it wasn't even called an ATAR?
No anxiety for these young adults though, who on Tuesday were announced as the top students in the ACT. Aleksandar Rapajic and Joanne Ng, both from Narrabundah College, got 99.95 as their scores.
Data to be released by the Board of Senior Secondary Studies on Wednesday shows Radford College students recorded the highest average ATAR for 2018 at 87.65.

Stories of dying without dignity key to restoring territory rights
A federal parliamentary committee examining the restoration of territory rights could be key to unshackling the ACT and Northern Territory to legalise voluntary euthanasia, a longtime campaigner says.
With the ACT is looking to revive its push to repeal the Andrews Bill next year, former ACT Labor MLA Mary Porter said sharing personal stories would be critical to overturning the decades-old legislation that has prevented the territories from making laws on assisted dying.

Sanctions placed on another nursing home
Bupa Aged Care in Calwell has been slapped with sanctions after failing to meet key outcomes, including clinical care and medication management.
The nursing home was audited by the Department of Health in October and informed in December it would not receive funding for any new residents until May.
It must also appoint an advisor to help it meet its clinical responsibilities and provide additional training to staff.
