'It's just gone': Parents sound alarm over Canberra school bus cuts
Eight-year-old Ben Wilson faces a two kilometre walk to the bus stop each morning under the ACT government's planned overhaul of school transport.
The Canberra Liberals estimate more than 20 schools will lose all of their dedicated buses under the plan, which will slash more than half of school services in total in return for more public routes travelling past schools.

Value of Fairvale block rises 60 per cent in two years
The value of the block of land at the centre of the former Land Development Agency's Fairvale land deal has risen almost 60 per cent in just two years.
And as Daniel Burdon reports, it could rise another $20,000, if the ACT Planning Authority approves a development application to allow the new owners, Steve and Cia Flannery, to start a farm tourism venture on the site.

Geocon refused entry for union at Infinity construction site
The Federal Circuit Court has declared construction company, Geocon, breached workplace laws by refusing the CFMEU entry during an inspection.
The construction site of Geocon's new Infinity apartments was at the centre of a federal court case that could end with the company penalised for breaching federal workplace laws.
A hearing into the matter was vacated and the Federal Circuit Court on Tuesday declared the company had contravened legislation stopping it from refusing entry onto work sites for permit holders.

Morris Property Group names new precinct as Highgate reaches new heights
Developer Barry Morris has named his newest apartment precinct on City Hill in the city centre "the Barracks".
The proposed development on section 100 on London Circuit near Edinburgh Avenue is yet to have a works approval application lodged. It will see up to 1200 apartments across four buildings take over the car park formerly known as Block 12 Section 63.
Mr Morris was speaking on Tuesday at the topping-out ceremony for a separate development in the city - the Highgate apartments near the casino, which are expected to be completed at the end of the year.

NRL delay points to battle with Raiders over Jack Wighton ban
And in sport...
A battle is brewing between the Canberra Raiders and the NRL over the length of Jack Wighton's suspension, with the governing body yet to rubber stamp the proposed six-week ban.
The Raiders announced they want Wighton to miss six games, including the two he's already sat out, on Monday.
While the NRL met on Monday night to discuss the proposed sanctions for the Canberra fullback's late-night Civic brawl in February, they are yet to give it the green light.
