Canberra should be bathed in warm sunshine for the Easter weekend, with unusually warm temperatures forecast for this time of year.

Some would have been bracing for a cold snap as temperatures in the capital dropped below 2 degrees early on Tuesday morning, while the first snow flakes of the year fell at Thredbo over the weekend.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Zhi-Weng Chua said after looking at satellite images, he believed some snow had fallen in an area of Namadgi National Park overnight.
"It's very pixelated, but I do believe a bit of snow has fallen," he said.
But Canberrans shouldn't expect to see any snow again soon, he said, and it should start to warm up again over the coming days.
"A cold front passed through New South Wales and the ACT over the weekend, which is why it was a bit colder," Mr Chua said.
"We've had clear skies a lot recently and the lack of cloud cover means the temperature changes more rapidly."
Some clouds are expected from Saturday but the clear skies look set to continue until then.
Mostly sunny weather is predicted over the next week, with a high of 31 degrees expected on Thursday.
"It will be warmer than usual for this time of year, but it's not record-breaking," Mr Chua said.
"It should be good weather for people to be out and about over Easter."
