Kambah youngster Kai Callaway will be helping to represent Canberra when the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay passes through the national capital on Thursday and Friday.

And the 12-year-old has been practising for the event in a unique way - using his drink bottle to double as the baton.
He's likely one of the youngest of the more than 70 baton bearers in the ACT.
"I'm pretty nervous," Kai said.
"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity."
The oldest of Bec and Mark Callaway's four boys, Kai was selected as a baton bearer to help herald in the Commonwealth Games for his achievements in sport.
He has been an Australian under 12 judo champion twice. He's also represented the ACT in rugby league and Oztag.
Bec said her sports-mad boys - Kai; Jake, 10; Zac, nine; and Ben, seven - were spending Wednesday afternoon out in the backyard building a tennis court after being inspired by the Australian Open.
The family was thrilled for Kai to be recognised for his dedication to his sports.
"We're extremely proud," she said.
"I think he is pretty unaware of how much an honour it is."
Kai will be carrying the baton on the zig-zag path at the National Arboretum Canberra about 10.15am on Thursday, and everyone is encouraged to come along and cheer him on.
He has just finished year six at St Anthony's Primary School in Wanniassa and is about to start Year seven at Marist College.
And young Kai is an inspiration to others hoping to get into sport. And so too his mum and dad who do all that ferrying around for all their boys.
"I like to keep up with my training, stay fit and be healthy," Kai said.
"I love playing sport with my friends and making new friends."
The Queen's Baton Relay started on March 13 at Buckingham Palace when Queen Elizabeth placed her message inside the baton.The Queen's Baton has already been passed across Africa, the Caribbean, the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
The Gold Coast is hosting the Commonwealth Games from April 4 to 15. At the April 4 opening ceremony, Prince Charles will remove the Queen's message from the baton and read it aloud to declare the games open.
