Police seized 71 cannabis plants and $20,000 worth of hydroponic equipment from a Hackett grow house on Monday as part of a crackdown on an extensive drug supply network operating in the capital.

Officers discovered the plants and equipment after receiving a tip-off, leading to a search of the rental property, police said.
The discovery came after police had seized 912 plants worth an estimated $6 million from grow houses in Calwell, Downer, Harrison, Kaleen, Macgregor, Nicholls and Weetangera in recent weeks.
The police crackdown, dubbed Operation Armscote, was triggered by the discovery of about 148 plants and a hydroponic set-up at a Kaleen home in mid-June.
Monday's find brought the number of cannabis plants seized in the Territory in recent weeks to 983.
Police said the property had been set up as a grow house and was "identical" to those that had already been discovered across the capital.
Detective Sergeant Richard Gough said the seizure showed how helpful information from the public could be in criminal investigations.
"Operation Armscote remains ongoing and by keeping an eye out, the community can assist police in detecting these properties and getting drugs off our streets.
"If you notice suspicious activity occurring try and take note of as many details as possible and report the information to police. Every piece of information is important to us and could result in a successful seizure."
