Journey of recovery

Get off De Fence is an exhibition at gallery@bcs documenting the making of De Fence. This large-scale timber sculpture incorporates the voices and visions of a community of artists living with mental illness. De Fence is a visual expression of people's recovery journey that incorporates their past, present and future. The exhibition will feature the sculpture as well as film footage, photos, tools and visual diaries from the creative process, and other works by BCS mental health art groups. It's on at Belconnen Community Centre, Swanson Court, Belconnen until October 14. The official opening by Arts Minister Chris Bourke is on Wednesday, October 5, at 5.30pm.
