Captains Flat is about 60 kilometres south-east of Canberra and borders the Tallaganda State Forest.
In its 2015/16 budget the NSW government allocated $314.6 million to the Rural Firefighting Fund.
The Monaro money will also be used for upgrades to stations at Braidwood, Burra, Lake George, Majors Creek, Bombala, Berridale and Anembo.
"The devastating effects of bushfires are never far from our minds, particularly in the lead-up to summer," Monaro local member, John Barilaro, said.
"These new facilities or upgrades to facilities will allow our volunteers to continue to be supported with the latest technology and equipment whilst they assist their local community in times of need."
