A child was approached outside North Ainslie Primary School on Tuesday, the school's principal has said in an email to parents.

Principal Tania Collins warned parents a former student of the school had been approached by an unknown man when they were waiting to be picked up.
The approach marks the first since ACT Policing announced Taskforce Tydeus last week, established to deal with the spate of child approaches in Canberra this year.
It would also make it the 15th child approach since February this year.
The former student was approached near the laneway between Majura Avenue and Marsden Street on Tuesday.
Ms Collins confirmed in the letter ACT police were investigating the incident and the school would continue to work with them on the issue.
ACT Policing was contacted for comment but unable to provide a response.
"These unfortunate incidents are a good reminder to us all to help our children understand the importance of stranger safety and the need to report any unusual incidents or approaches to staff immediately," Ms Collins said in the email.
ACT Policing urged anyone who may have witnessed any incidents or have any information that could assist Police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website.
