Canberra Liberals Leader Zed Seselja has made a last minute pitch to voters before Saturday's election, by promising a $224 million plan to cut hospital waiting lists.

But Mr Seselja may have announced the policy too late for Treasury to independently cost it before Saturday's election.
The Liberals have promised 5500 extra elective surgery operations over the next four years.
Labor had previously promised to fund an additional 5000 procedures.
The Liberals today also promised 62 more beds for Calvary hospital.
An extra 40 beds would be opened at the Canberra Hospital, plus six intensive care beds.
The ‘Hospital in the Home’ programs would also get an extra 52 places.
Canberra Liberals health spokesman Jeremy Hanson said Canberra's health system had gone from being one of the best in Australia 11 years ago, to one of the worst.
"The Canberra Liberals have a real plan to bring us back to the top, stop the bullying and deliver better health services for all Canberrans, " Mr Hanson said.
Mr Sesleja said it was a matter for Treasury whether the policy could be costed before Saturday.
Treasury had asked for all policies to be submitted by Monday, but Mr Sesleja said he was confident in the accuracy of his party’s costings.
"There's not a moratorium on announcing policies in the last week," he said.
Chief Minister and Health Minister Katy Gallagher accused the Opposition of announcing a watered down version of her health policy.
“They are still no closer to explaining how they will pay for their $7 billion ‘Dr Who’ health plan, which travels in time between four and five years. And with this late announcement they are making sure Treasury cannot effectively scrutinise their plan,” she said,
Ms Gallagher said the Liberals had not promised enough hospital beds to deliver extra elective surgery or explained how they would recruit enough doctors and nurses to provide extra services.
“ACT Labor has committed to more than 170 beds plus 24 hospital in the home bed equivalents,’’ she said.
“Three days out from the election, the Canberra Liberals have only committed to just over 100 beds plus 27 bed equivalents (hospital in the home). This won’t deal with the expected growth in demand, let alone the extra surgeries they are promising.’’
