Store manager Chris Morgan said the three helmets a week, but the Fyshwick store had sold about 10 helmets since Friday.
"We've already had two helmets sold today," Mr Morgan said.
Nationally, Greg Chappell marketing manager Steven Gibbs said there had been a slight increase in orders and the company would review the monthly figures later in the week.
Rebel Sport recorded a 58 per cent increase nationwide, but only had a slight increase in Canberra.
Mr Morgan said customers at the Greg Chappell Cricket Centre in Canberra included adults, both men and women, and children.
"People are asking whether the helmet is a titanium grill or stainless steel grill," he said.
"[A] titanium grill is lighter and stronger. I would say most professional cricketers would have a titanium grill helmet."
Cricket ACT chief executive Mark Vergano said the organisation had placed greater emphasis on its safety guidelines and restrictions since the tragic accident, particularly in junior cricket, in which helmets are compulsoryand fielding restrictions are enforced.
"Since late last week we've been promoting what we do and what the expectations are in regards to safety," he said.
"In junior cricket all batters have to wear helmets with a faceguard and there are field restrictions. Also we have zones which dictate how close someone can get to the batters and when.
"Our guidelines have been in operation for 15 years. People know they're there and we generally tell people to refer to the comprehensive safety rules we have in place."
Tuggeranong club president and second grade player John Evans said while the danger is always there, many players carry a helmet in their packs.
"Obviously the Phillip Hughes tragedy has brought safety to the forefront of people's minds," he said. "I think the bulk of people generally wear helmets and at times I don't like wearing a helmet due to a feel of restriction.
"Personally, has that changed since last week? I guess it makes me second guess my position on that."
