The inaugural Capital to the Coast tour will begin in Canberra on October 23 and finish on the coast on October 29, the day before Day for Daniel, to raise awareness of child safety, protection and harm prevention.
The Sunshine Coast schoolboy was 13 when he disappeared while waiting for a bus in 2003. Brett Peter Cowan was convicted of Daniel's murder last year.
Queanbeyan, Braidwood, Batemans Bay and Narooma are among towns on the tour.
ThinkUKnow online safety sessions will be conducted to educate parents, carers and teachers on the challenges they and children may face online and how to overcome them.
The tour is an initiative between the Australian Federal Police National Missing Persons Coordination Centre and the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
AFP Day for Daniel ambassador Rebecca Kotz said the sessions would empower children to recognise, react and report feelings of being unsafe , including online.
"Educating children on personal safety is the key aim of the foundation, and that of the National Missing Persons Coordination Centre," she said.
Ambassador and NSW south coast resident Melissa Pouliot will also lead the tour.
Ms Pouliot's cousin, Ursula Barwick, has been missing since the early 1980s.
"Child safety is an issue close to my heart," she said. "The greater safety education we can provide, the safer our children will be."
She encouraged local schools to register for the opportunity to host a visit from the Big Red Truck.
ACT schools can also register with chance to secure a visit from the truck on October 30.
