Not only is the mural completed, it's garnered the attention of Chan himself.
The martial arts star, who spent some of his childhood growing up in the nation's capital, posted on his page on Weibo, a popular Chinese social media site, praising the artwork and thanking Chavez and Ballesteros for using his image and public art to praise Chinese race and culture.
The artists did the whole mural freehand, with only paint and two ladders and no fancy equipment, and Chavez said they were, "thrilled that the superstar we grew up watching in our childhoods acknowledged and was very proud of us for our work".
