She loves her city and she loves having a bit of fun too.
Hence her "Queanbeyan's #ElfontheShelf" posts on Facebook which have been quickly gathering a strong following in the lead-up to Christmas.
That cheeky little elf has been everywhere.
Jauntily sitting on the arm of the statue of "Father of Canberra" John Gale, riding high on Morty the giant snail, pulling up a pew at the Queanbeyan railway and even taking it easy on the bar of the Royal Hotel.
He's ventured out to Jerrabomberra and sailed across the Queanbeyan River.
Nichole, a chronicler of all things Queanbeyan and wife of Tim Overall, administrator of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council, said it was the first time she had introduced the Elf to the delights of the city.
"I love Christmas and it is a bit of fun," she said, with a laugh.
"It's also a great way to showcase some of the lovely spots around Queanbeyan. Maybe the Elf on the Shelf can become part of Queanbeyan folklore."
For those not in the know, the Elf in the Shelf is a ye olde Christmas tradition harking all the way back to 2004. Practically ancient.
It started as a picture book written by American Carol Aebersold and daughter Chanda Bell which explains why Santa knows who's been naughty or nice - the Elf on the Shelf tells him.
The elves visit children between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve and report back to Santa nightly.
The book came with the toy elf, with parents delighting in placing him at different locations all around the house.
Some Christmas curmudgeons reckon Elf on the Shelf is harmful to children - all that spying and so on. And, they might have a point.
Other reckon it's just loads of fun.
Nichole agrees the whole concept is a little creepy. She originally bought the Elf on the Shelf to take part in one of her Mysterious Queanbeyan by Moonlight tours ahead of Christmas.
The little fellow didn't arrive in the post in time but she put him to work in any case, popping up around Queanbeyan in pictures posted on her Facebook page.
And haven't people loved it, especially those who enjoy a good elf pun.
"It's certainly brought out the pun-ners," Nichole said, with a laugh. "Maybe it's actually the Nightmare Before Christmas."
