Australian rock band Eskimo Joe and Melbourne producer and DJ Joel Fletcher will headline Canberra's New Year's Eve celebrations.

The main all-ages concert featuring the band will take place in Civic Square kicking off from 7pm and include 9pm and midnight firework displays.
Eskimo Joe are best known for their hit Black Fingernails, Red Wine, which topped the charts in 2006 and their first single From The Sea was released in 2004.
Local bands Plump and Dos Locos will also play.
Joel Fletcher will headline a dance party from 9pm in Garema Place, dubbed "Bass in the Place" which has been described as "a high-energy dance party" by Deputy Chief Minister Andrew Barr, who made the announcement on Wednesday.
Fletcher is known for his ARIA number one hit Swing, and he will be supported by local DJs Runamark, Hudak and Jake Raven.
"There is something for everyone this New Year's Eve in the city, so I encourage all Canberrans to come out and enjoy the free entertainment and party atmosphere," Mr Barr said.
Mr Barr said the celebrations would be alcohol-free and glass-free events to ensure a safe and friendly atmosphere.
