Start your wind machines - it's Eurovision time.
Last year the National Film and Sound Archive partnered with host nation Austria's embassy to throw a huge, sparkly Eurovision fan party that proved extremely popular, booking out weeks in advance.
About 700 fans filled the courtyards of the historic building on the night, and it featured plenty of bearded men in drag channelling their best Conchita Wurst.
This weekend the party will be hosted by the Swedish embassy (the actual Eurovision Song Contest itself is being held in Malmo) and organisers are expecting up to 900 people.
The party is free but tickets are limited and have to be booked via the archive website.
Canberra's own ABBA tribute choir Andante Andante will perform vibrant a capella versions of the pop supergroup's greatest hits, including Waterloo and Money Money Money.
Australia's love affair with Eurovision is set to continue this year with reality star Dami Im flying the Aussie flag and providing much needed costume inspiration for fans who can't quite pull off the leggy blonde Scandi look.
In hindsight it's a little surprising that Canberra hasn't had a big official Eurovision party before but the National Film and Sound Archive bash is going a long way to filling that gap.
Archive spokesman Cris Kennedy says last year's success - with hundreds of Eurofans flooding into Acton to watch Guy Sebastian have a tilt at the song competition - had ensured the Eurovision party would be bigger and better this year.
"I think Eurovision is that really interesting event that people for many years secretly adored and secretly go themselves into - and suddenly that nerd culture is so strong that it's not something to be ashamed of again," he said.
There will be traditional Swedish dance, Euro karaoke, and food and drink. Everyone's encouraged to come in their best (or Wurst) costumes and take part in the costume fashion parade and contest. There are also hints of a Swedish themed flatpack assembly competition.
