A father who performed CPR on his toddler son likely saved his life after the boy was pulled unconscious from a bath at their Queanbeyan home on Tuesday night, police said.

The 16-month-old boy climbed into the running bath while his parents weren't looking shortly before 5.30pm.
They found him in the bath unconscious and the boy's mother called emergency services.
His father performed CPR on the toddler until paramedics arrived at the Jerrabomberra house.
The boy was taken to Canberra Hospital before being airlifted to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
Queanbeyan Police duty officer Mick Handley said the boy was lucky to be alive and his parents' quick-thinking had saved their son's life.
He said the incident showed the importance of knowing CPR and first aid.
