The 331 hectare fire burning off Nerriga Road was contained by midnight on Saturday after a concerted effort by dozens of crews from the New South Wales Rural Fire Service, the ACT Rural Fire Service and National Parks.
NSW Rural Fire Service acting media manager Ben Shepherd said firefighters would stay on-site Monday.
"Tomorrow we are expecting temperatures around the mid to high 30s but a strengthening west to north-westerly wind, so they'll stay on that fire ground tomorrow patrolling and mopping up just to ensure we don't see a further spread of it," he said.
More than 50 crews battled the blaze on Saturday after protecting properties Friday night. Fourteen Rural Fire Service crews, two strike teams from the ACT and two National Parks crews remained on-site on Sunday.
The fire started about 2pm Friday.
Mr Shepherd encouraged people to remain vigilant.
"Know the fire danger rating for your area, have your plan in place and make sure you discuss it with your household," he said.
