QUEEN SING-A-LONG
If you feel you've got better pipes than Freddie Mercury, or you'd simply like to join a sweet Queen chorus, head to the Bohemian Rhapsody sing-a-long at Limelight. Over two nights, the film will be screened with lyrics - though I suspect you know them all already - and dress-ups are "highly encouraged". Limelight Cinemas, Tuggeranong. JOG FOR A CAUSE
You run for fitness, for escapism, or in most cases, to chase your Jack Russell who has bolted through the back fence. This Sunday, run for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Week. The Women and Girls' Jogalong event by YMCA includes a 6km and 3km options, as well as a mini-jog for the little ones. And if you're in but the kids are firmly out, YMCA offers free childcare at the event. Funds go to local charity OvCan, an ACT support group who work to raise awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms. 91-STOREY TREEHOUSE
The team behind the 13, 26, 52 and 78-Storey Treehouse Live on Stage return with their new instalment: the 91-Storey Treehouse. Kids aged 6-12 are invited to witness Andy, Terry and Jill in their wildest adventure yet. SUMMER SOUNDS
At the Summer Sounds concert, surround yourself by flora and enjoy a fanciful tune as if you're living during The Renaissance. As the sun dips, enjoy music on the scenic Eucalypt Lawn, plus food and drink from street stalls La Empanada, Lenton Bar, Pure Gelato, Capital Woodfired Pizza, and Le Petit Breton, or bring your own picnic. On Saturday, Bewitched will bring the live jazz and Jumptown Swing will run dance classes for beginners.
