The lead up to Christmas is set to be a foodie's dream with In The City's Christmas food markets in Civic Square from December 16-24.

There's four different food themes, with businesses from all over town popping up in Civic for the occasion.
First up on December 16 and 17 there's burgers, barbeque and beers, with stalls from venues including BentSpoke, King O'Malley's, Shorty's, Grease Monkey, Pialligo Estate and Kusina.
December 18 and 19 is a celebration of street food - there will be hotdogs, currys, nachos, gozleme and more.
December 20-22 is all about the sweeter side of things with stalls including Pip & Lou, Ricardo's Choco Bab, La Ombre Creations, Kofre Donuts and Movenpick plus cake and ice cream eating challenges.
And to round it all out, December 23-24 is cocktails and canapes - there will be stalls from White Rabbit, Casino Canberra's Restaurant 9, Tree House, Elk and Pea, Digress and Ploy Thai.
Entry to the markets is by donation to SIDS and Kids.
To launch the event, BentSpoke is brewing a special Christmas In The City beer - and they're letting the public name it. The leading two contenders are Beer McBeer Face and Hoptimus Prime - you can cast your vote, or add your suggestion, on the 'Burgers, BBQ & Beer Markets' event page on Facebook. Opening night on December 16 will also have a free concert by Shannon Noll.
The food markets will also run alongside handicraft markets so you can shop for Christmas presents at the same time - they're on from December 16-24 in Ainslie Place.
