Police have released video footage showing the moment a man pointed a gun and tried to rob The Mawson Club in November.

ACT Policing released the CCTV recording on Tuesday in a bid to find the would-be robber, shown entering the club in Woden on November 17 last year with his face covered.
The footage shows the man point a gun at a person sitting in the club's reception area at 11pm, walking to and jumping the bar, and attempting to open a cash register.
After failing to open the register, he climbs back over the counter and walks back out of the club, pointing his handgun again at the person in reception.
The man is described as being 180-190cm tall (5 feet 11 inches-6 feet 3 inches) and of slim build. He was wearing black pants and a black jumper.
