The star of the first Australian season of The Bachelor will talk about the philosophy behind The Robards Method, as well as provide broader advice on wellbeing, at an exclusive masterclass at Canberra Centre on Saturday.
So far thousands of Australians have signed up for The Robards' Method, and it's not just women looking for a bit of eye candy.
The training method is grounded in an app and includes 125 workout videos (led by Robards) and 70 recipes based on the former Bachelor's own 721 Nutritional Bible (70 per cent super clean, 20 per cent sensible and 10 per cent relaxed). Many of the workouts focus on strength and definition, and include the use of wooden rings.
"It's hard because in a way, when you see photos of me up there hanging off the rings, muscled and kind of veiny and bulging, girls are gonna go 'it's not for me, it's too hard'," Robards, a qualified chiropractor, said.
"What I've done with TRM - because I, as a practitioner, treat everyone - is basically made a program that caters for everyone.
"If you're brand new to exercise, you're female, you just want to tone and gain some strength, there's a level for you.
"If you're a 25-year-old guy who wants to get solid, and ripped, and strong, and put some bulk on, there's a level for you."
While Robards designed the program to inspire Australians to "build their best bodies", he is also big on staying mentally fit. He lists Arnold Schwarzenegger as a big inspiration - "not because he's big and muscly but because he made it to the top in three different types of careers" - and stays inspired by listening to podcasts by thought leader and fellow chiropractor John Demartini.
In fact, Robards credits Demartini's sessions on human psychology and "the law of attraction" as the reason he found true love on The Bachelor. Robards recently became engaged to girlfriend Anna Heinrich, the woman he chose from a pool of 25 potentials on the show.
"Before I went on The Bachelor, I really wanted to go in from a strong head space and with clarity ... and that's why I got a great result and it worked," Robards said.
