Police reported received separate reports of four teenagers being hospitalised after ingesting an unknown quantity of prescription medication often prescribed for nerve pain, epilepsy and fitting conditions.
All four were treated at Calvary and Canberra Hospitals and ACT Policing's criminal investigations unit are investigating how they came into contact with the medication.
Police warned that people should only take prescription medication if advised to by their doctor, as inappropriate use can cause serious adverse health effects.
