The friends of missing Canberra man Gregory Bond are desperately calling for public assistance to help find the army veteran.

The 43-year-old has not been seen since about 10.30am on Sunday when he left his house in Monash.
Lieutenant Colonel Steve Brumby served in the Australian army with Mr Bond in the 1990s and has joined the team of 40 volunteers searching for him in the Blue Mountains.
He said his friend was a caring and quiet man who loved to help others.
"He was very dedicated in the way he served the veterans' community after he left the army," he said.
"We just ask for anyone in the area to keep an eye out or speak up if they think they might have spotted him."
Emergency services were called to bushland in the Blue Mountains on Monday after family confirmed Mr Bond was planning on travelling to the area.
Police have "significant concerns" for his welfare because he has a serious medical condition.
Mr Bond is of Caucasian appearance, 188 centimetres tall, has a medium build with grey hair and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans, police said.
