Firefighters and the Environmental Protection Authority are investigating the source of a fuel smell in a Mitchell stormwater pipe on Wednesday.

ACT Fire and Rescue planned to install booms in the stormwater system near the National Archives building before Sullivans Creek.
They also planned to flush out the system with water to get rid of the odour.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said no evacuations were necessary and no explosive levels were detected.
Police closed Hoskins Street between Well Station Road and Sandford Street while the source of the smell is identified.
A spokesman said ACT Fire and Rescue and the EPA were investigating the pipe at the corner of Hoskins Street and Lysaght Street as of 2.50pm and checking the area was safe.
Roads were reopened and crews left the site by 6pm.
