In a fitting tribute, the funeral of horticulturalist Adam Burgess will be held at his beloved National Arboretum Canberra next Thursday afternoon, May 11, with all those who wish to pay their respects to the popular Canberran invited to attend.

The funeral will be at 3.30pm on Thursday in the main visitors centre . The arboretum was Mr Burgess' passion and he helped shape it out of the hills above Canberra, even down to planting the first tree.
Mr Burgess, the curator of the living collections at the arboretum, died this week aged just 43, his death understood to be related to health complications.
A fund has also been established to support his wife Danielle and their two daughters.
National Arboretum Canberra chairman John Mackay this week paid tribute to Mr Burgess, saying he was the "heart and soul" of the arboretum.
"I found him to be just inspirational," Mr Mackay said. "He has been so determined and so helpful and he basically knows every tree in the place."
Mr Burgess leaves behind a devastated community of loved ones and friends - wife Danielle, daughters Tenielle and Jemma, parents Mick Burgess and Joan Feiner; step-mother Anita Burgess and a wide circle of friends and colleagues.
