A gas leak fire sprung up under a car that caught alight after it was hit by lightning on Dryandra Street and Wattle Street in O'Connor earlier on Wednesday morning.

The leak was isolated as gas contractors repaired the rupture.
Residents in 10 nearby homes were earlier evacuated and nearby trees scorched as the gas fire continued to re-ignite.
At about 7.50am the car caught alight was completely burnt out and destroyed.
The gas leak was about 70 centimetres underground, according to emergency services.
Firefighters working to extinguish the fire moved the car away from the gas rupture and set up an exclusion zone as a precaution.
ACT Ambulance Service were also on the scene supporting operations but no injuries were reported.
ActewAGL crews attended more than 30 mostly arcing powerlines and single premise faults sparked by Tuesday morning's thunderstorm.
Network Services general manager Rob Atkin said about 100 residents, plus traffic lights at the Ginninderra Drive and Baldwin Drive intersection, were affected by an outage in Kaleen about 1.30pm.
Another 1140 residents across Kaleen, Lyneham, Gungahlin, Mitchell and Palmerston lost power from about 8am after two trips and auto recloses on high voltage feeders.
