A Hackett man police allegedly caught with ice and stolen property fled police after he was seen peeking into north Canberra backyards, a court has been told.

Luke John Bramley, 29, faced the ACT Magistrates Court charged with possessing stolen property, drug possession and two counts of resisting arrest on Monday.
ACT Policing said in a statement officers had responded to reports of a man acting suspiciously as he looked into backyards in Watson about 9am Sunday.
Police who went to the area said they found a man, who they allege was Bramley, matching the description they'd been given.
They allegedly seized a glass pipe, numerous zip lock bags containing white crystalline substance believed to be methylamphetamine, or ice, and other items suspected to be stolen.
He was taken to the watch house and later charged.
The court heard Bramley, of Hackett, had allegedly committed the offences after he failed to appear in court on Friday on separate charges.
Police said the accused had thrown property away as he ran away from officers. The officer later re-traced his steps but said he had not been able to recover those items.
The court heard Bramley had previously thrown drugs away and fled when police approached him about an alleged offence in NSW.
Prosecutor Soraya Saikal opposed an application for bail on grounds Bramley posed an unacceptably high risk of reoffending, his ice use had caused him to miss court and he had a "fairly significant" criminal record.
But his defence lawyer said Bramley hadn't faced court last week because he got his dates mixed up and acknowledged that was something he needed to work on.
Magistrate Robert Cook denied bail, noting Bramley allegedly committed the offences after his failure to appear in court, his attempt to flee police and his history of drug use.
He will face court again on September 8.
