The Canberra Times summer photo competition is on again, and with hot weather and sunny skies predicted for the next week, now could be the perfect time to snap something special.

Rory McElligott, of Nicholls, captured his nine-year-old daughter Brionna midair, jumping over a sprinkler.
Mr McElligott said he used his Nokia mobile phone to get the shot, and had never done any professional photography before.
Kirilly Bush, of Latham, regularly takes photographs as a hobby and is in the initial stages of starting a film and photography business with her brother.
The pair were on a dirt road near Yass when she took her shot.
''Me and my brother drive around and take photos sometimes. There was a beautiful sunset so I just sort of leant out the window and snapped,'' she said.
The Hunt family of Tuggeranong got a festive shot of their cat surrounded by Christmas wrappings and cards.
The competition gives budding photographers the chance to have their favourite shots published and there is prizemoney up for grabs.
First prize is $500, second $300, and third $200.

A selection of the entries will be published in the newspaper and on canberratimes.com.au throughout the summer holidays.
Photographers must send their photos, attached as JPEG files, to photocomp@canberratimes.com.au. The images must be a minimum of 150Kb and a maximum of 1Mb.
There is a maximum limit of three photos per person, and entrants should include their name, address, phone number and a brief description of their shots.
The competition closes at 4pm on January 20.
