A fire engulfed a two-storey apartment building in O'Connor Friday morning, the Emergency Services Agency says.

A spokeswoman said three occupants escaped the Berrigan Crescent complex. One man aged in his 20s was taken to the Canberra Hospital suffering smoke inhalation.
A woman and a young child also left the building before firefighters arrived.
ACT Fire & Rescue was called to the fire shortly before 10.30am. It spread through both storeys and the building's roof space.
Firefighters targeted the fire from the front and rear of the public housing property. It was largely put out by about 11am.
The spokeswoman said the building's roof was removed to extinguish remaining hot spots, as of 12.45pm. It was fully extinguished by about 2.30pm, but firefighters were still at the scene at that time trying to determine what sparked the fire.
