A Canberra man has indicated he will fight allegations he repeatedly raped a female sex worker during a violent ordeal at an inner-city hotel room.

Mohammed Alabbasi, 20, previously claimed his brother was responsible for the alleged attack on the woman after he borrowed his phone to arrange a meeting with a sex worker.
Alabbasi, of Kaleen, is facing two charges of sexual intercourse without consent, third degree sexual assault, unlawful confinement, and attempted aggravated robbery using force.
A Legal Aid duty lawyer on Wednesday indicated Alabbasi would plead not guilty to each of the charges against him when the accused appeared briefly in the ACT Magistrates Court.
He also foreshadowed Alabbasi, who remains behind bars after a failed bail application last week, would make a second bid for release in court on Friday.
Prosecutors told Magistrate Peter Dingwall they would need 10 weeks to prepare a brief of evidence.
Alabbasi was arrested after the sex worker's friend received a phone call from her soon after the alleged attack on May 10 and notified police.
The sex worker claimed she met the accused at the hotel in Braddon after a man, who identified himself as "Ali", booked a half-hour service.
Documents previously tendered in court said Alabbasi grew violent after the pair went back to the woman's room and had a discussion about payment.
The defendant allegedly pulled a box cutter from his pocket and waved the blade in the woman's face as he repeatedly demanded cash and said: "Just give me the money and I'll go."
The woman escaped his grasp and fled to the apartment door before the man allegedly slammed the door shut, blocked it and pushed the woman into a wall.
As he pressed her into the wall he kept waving the box cutter in her face and demanding money before saying: "Well let's just have sex then."
Court documents said Alabbasi then raped her as the woman hyperventilated and felt dizzy and nauseous.
She pretended to faint so he would leave, but he told her to "keep going", court documents said.
The accused then allegedly sexually assaulted her twice more before he left the apartment.
The woman later provided police with a description of the alleged offender and later underwent a medical examination.
Police seized Alabbasi's mobile phone, which matched the number in the woman's phone when they searched his home the next day.
Alabbasi admitted to police the phone was his, but said his brother had borrowed it on Tuesday to look for a prostitute using the website Cracker.
His brother had exchanged texts with a woman and the defendant had waited in the car while his brother went to meet her at a Braddon hotel room, Alabbasi claimed.
Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker denied Alabbasi bail last week due to the serious nature of the alleged offences, the strength of evidence before the court and concerns he could collude with his brother if released.
The matter will return to court for a case management hearing in July.
