Kate Ceberano has been announced as the face and headline act for the 2017 National Multicultural Festival.

The pop and jazz singer was also the headline act at the festival in 2013.
Ceberano said crowds could expect a bit of everything: "I sort of read the crowd and what I'm looking at on the day, I often change a lot of my material. It always has the hits across the many decades of my career but I can often see if there's more kids there for instance I'll do a different type of music," she said.
Ceberano said she didn't eat before performances, but might have her eye on one particular cuisine at the festival.
"I hope that they have the Filipinos represented because my dad is Filipino, and they have really delicious food. They're a small but mighty cuisine," she said.
Ceberano will play the main show on opening night, Friday February 17, alongside Andrea Kirwin and band, which will kick off three days of local, national and international acts.
The 2017 festival will also have the return of comedy, with Ahn Do's The Happiest Refugee and Joe Avati's Show Us Your Roots, both at Canberra Theatre Centre.
